Our Story
In June 2020 during the first Covid lockdown South Downs Trojan Masters Swim Squad was formed. Swimmers found themselves without a club to train with and difficulty swimming in limited public sessions. With six founding members the squad quickly grew as we sourced pool time starting with two hours a week late at night. Our training sessions became three per week and currently we now have five per week at various local pools.
We cater for competitive and non competitive swimmers with two squads and offer membership for one, two, three, four or five sessions per week for our competitive swimmers and one, two or three for our skills swimmers. We are delighted when skills swimmers move to the competitive squad and so proud of them when they take their first step into competition.
Trojan regularly compete at many events throughout the year with the British Masters Long Course and National Masters Short Course Championships being the pinnacles of the domestic calendar.
